The process really varies, it can take anywhere from 1 month to 3 months or more. We have a drug test, psychological test, and a physical. The physical is at your expense. We drive Impalas for the most part but there are some Taurus’, Blazers, Cherokees, F-150s, Luminas, Intrepids, and Monte Carlos still being driven. The division is in the process of getting rid of them though.

This is a great place to work if you have the right attitude. Good Luck

You forgot the following:

1. Must have less than one year street experience as a reserve officer or property/evidence room tech.(too much experience and you might actually know what you are doing)

2. Must have been a manager at Winn Dixie or some other grocery store.

3. Must have college degree from Cracker Jack box, gum ball machine, or some other online "university".

4. Must claim that you are enrolled in a master's program even if you don't intend on starting for quite some time. (this looks cool during campaigns too!)

5. Must have corrections and/or probation/parole experience.

6. Must have been the school hall monitor during junior high and got your ass beat daily by the cool kids.

7. Must have covered up an internal on a previous Chief and gotten promoted to ABT Lieutenant for the same.

8. Must be willing to rat every one out including your own friends.
