Any news on when the shift changes are being put in place? The 6 month trial period has gone on for 2 years now.

The only thing we were told is that 10 hour shifts got shot down.

Just goes to show that management wanted PBA back so bad "things" would speed up/get better (as many top brass were PBA) in the past. Nothing new at all! Waste of time, but at least they bring lunch on the range.

4-10s, 5-8s.. what does it matter?? Most officers work whenever they want anyways. Also in a memo from Col Edwards (I know, a little dated, but...) when the new shift was implemented, officers were suppossed to be able to adjust their schdeules in order to better accomplish the mission of the agency?? Is this not happening??

I don't know about other areas but in my Captains area you are supposed to work your schedule as to the activity. Thus the range in 10-8 times for the three shifts. If you come out at the same time for the whole 28 day shift then you and your LT will have a discussion. A vote in our area was taken and the majority wanted to go back to the eight hour shift. I personally liked the ten hour shifts.
