JACKSONVILLE - Two Jacksonville police officers have shot a man after an armed bank robbery and chase.
Chief Rick Graham says no officers were injured and the man shot by police is in critical condition.
Graham says the man entered a branch of the Fifth Third Bank about 10:15 a.m. Monday. He pulled a gun and demanded money. No shots were fired in the bank.
Police said a blue truck used in the robbery was spotted by officers, who chased it. The truck was stopped by using stop sticks.
Graham says a man got out of the truck and pointed his gun at officers, who shot him several times.
The man's name has not been released. He is the ninth person shot by Jacksonville police this year. Six have died.
