Salary range upper 40’s

JOB DESCRIPTION
• Monitor all Breaches of Security and investigate those deemed serious or denoting a trend. Specific criteria to be set as to what constitutes a serious breach.
• Coordinate complicated investigations with police and prosecutors. Court appearance included only in non-routine matters.
• When on site for investigative matters, to perform security surveys at Hertz Equipment Rental Company (HERC), Rent A Car and agency locations using check lists with copies furnished to proper management for review.
• Represent Hertz interests in cases involving outside authorities where Hertz is or may be the target of the inquiry.
• Conduct internal investigations as requested by Corporate Management.
• Participate in City Managers’ meetings to keep all concerned informed of possible criminal activities, both from the general public and our own employees.
• Monitor all conversion and theft reports to identify trends and take corrective action including on site investigations when necessary.
• Maintain and develop liaison with local, state and federal law enforcement authorities. This includes assistance to Zone management to resolve reporting problems and to eliminate unfounded theft reports to Police Department.
• Provide training programs for new hires. In some instances, do actual presentations at new hire training sessions and retraining sessions for experienced employees. Include Fraud Lectures.
• Participate in the planning of new facilities and offer suggestions for security hardware and procedures.
• Make unannounced visits to all locations to observe activities of employees.
• Conduct investigations as required, which occur in the HERC Division.
• In cases of strikes by Hertz employees, to insure that local management takes all necessary precautions to protect employees and assets, to act as liaison with police and other law enforcement agencies and to investigate incidents of violence which occur.
