I did 20 in NYPD. I left the FMPD because of harassment. I refused to complain about it, because I have friends that work there. I didn't want to stir any trouble, it's just not my style, so, I resigned. It was a shame, because I met some of the best cops I have ever worked with. FMPD has fantastic hard working cops, however, some of the less experienced cops who feel treatened by senior officers from other agenicies cause enough hard ache, it doesn't pay to stay. It's a shame, because a real cop would love to learn as much as they could from another cop with more experience, and wouldn't feel threatened by it.
It only take a few bad apples to ruin a great PD.
The admin. hires experienced people and allows the members to push them out. Good luck to all the hard working, great officers that risk their lives everyday in the ghetto. Be safe. FMPD is second to none.
