I am glad to see the agency is remembering May 15th as National Law Enforcement Memorial Day. Lowering our flags to half staff on this day makes me proud to be part of OALE. Honoring our Brothers and Sisters who have made the ulitmate sacrifice is the least we can do. I'm sure Chief Degroff-Berry had something to do with this. I do not remember the agency doing this in the past, so I hope this is a step towards becoming more recognized as LEO's instead of Road Guards. Maybe this is a sign of good and much needed changes for our agency.
Okay so I'm hoping and wishful thinking here.
Please take a moment this week to remember the fallen officers and their families.
