Cop killed a long time ago in Denver and I have a question

I have a question that I hope someone out there can answer seriously without head games.

I had heard about a cop having been shot to death in the vicinity of a place that used to be called the Celebrity sports center back in 1977.

I am not even sure which police dept.this cop was working in but if anyone remembers this incident please let me know.

Well maybe I am not exactly correct on the year as it was a long time ago and I get confused but in any event it is okay cuz I talked to police in the area and they say no cops were killed during that time and for many years throught seventies and early eighties.

I am glad to know that.
