Let's hope and pray that the city decides to offer buyouts just like the county, the Cape, Sarasota and others! Wow! Imagine that! Cleaning house all in one swoop...just bring in a new Chief on top of that and FMPD will truly be ain incredible place to work. The GOB will be gone living together in TN or somewhere! As "Earl" would say, "That's Karma!" What goes around, comes around.

Well, Wishful Thinking...I guess you are right. When who you know or who you blow takes precedent and propels you up the corporate ladder, over the best choices, most deserving, or most qualified, then, yes...there are those that tend to be malcontent. It's happened over and over again since 2001. "El Heffe" promoted his herd. If they don't like you, they let a promotional list expire, or advertise a new exam 6 months before the current one expires. Rule of 6, then rule of 3, then the hell with it...lets have a pool...what's next? Just point a finger, and say, "UGhh!"

All you need to do now at fmpd to be part of the GOB team is to go fishing, go boating, ride or buy motorcycles, buy land together, and be an ex sig...and you are GOB! Then all you have to do is to change policies, have GED's or purchased degrees and promote all your buddies. And guess what? Even better...no student loans for some! Way to go.

Change contracts & policies again so those GOB's who can't pass an exam can get promoted...way to go! Why do you think so many people are leaving?

Truth is, the silent majority love the job, love the department, and want things to get better. That will happen with a new Chief and new admin. By the way, when is the Chief going to write a certain brother up for violating policy every day in front of everyone, the Chief, other GOB's, coworkers and even citizens? Just look in the garbage cans and drinking fountains.., around the station. He doesn't hide it either. Just interview everyone at fmpd, they have all witneesed it and contine to witness it daily. The irony is, this so called brother is in charge of psb!!! What hypocrisy! That's just insane! Everyone who ever gets written up should grieve it until this double-bar gets written up, suspended, or demoted.
