What can I do?

I did a stupid thing in my last job. Piss off the Sheriff! I went to I.A. and told the truth. I did not give up my friends because I had no real dirt to give.

I had a bad report placed in my FDLE file after I left the Sheriff's Office.

What can I do to get back into L.E. work?

Unless you were fired you should still be able to work as an LEO. Go back and request to put a rebuttal to your I.A. file explaining what happened. Check the public records law, I thought I read somewhere that anything like that can be pulled out of your file in 3 years. In the future tell the truth in an I.A., if they are really your friends they will not want you to lie for them.

I was in a similar situation. Applied for, and interviewed down in Fort Myers, but was not chosen. I was never told why, but I am assuming it was because of past disciplinary action.
