As a new step to deter crime the department we will now be using cardboard cutouts of officers placed in high crime areas throughout the city. They can be used to fill vacant overtime slots, vacant details in the event the officer was mandatoried. Don't be afraid to use one as your 94 or have him/her standby with your medical clearance. If you see one working the jail just know as usual he will not be transporting past midnight. Park checks will no longer be necessary as they will be moved around by the oscar units hourly. Take one with you for your action plan, and when you go 10-8, and he is not an unarmed 10-12!!!! , he will have a gun, radio, and management also gave him a camera equipped with video, audio and an avl. So watch what you say or do around this guy. His hand automatically spits out nta's, beat watches and citations so he is indeed a stat producing machine. This seems like the perfect solution to the staffing shortage, and his ability to rat out and jam up other officers makes him a hit with management. So everyone welcome Officer Cardboard to the department. New models to include sergeants, captains and up, dispatchers, psa's, K-9 dogs, and various other applications, so stay tuned !
