Be informed by calling HR ref openings and do your homework regarding the current work-shift work schedule. Whatever you decide make sure its an educated one or choice because after that you are sworn in under the current administration and it Dawsy's way or the highway and you will want change. Currenlty the TROOPS have NO VOICE/CHOICE or UNION to be there VOICE. There is also a lack of Integrity, Professionlism, and Fairness.

In doing your homework, it is highly advisabe to speak with as many deputies as you can that ACTUALLY work there. As with ANY agency, there are positives and negatives to working there. This website seems to attract some whiners....

In doing your homework, it is highly advisabe to speak with as many deputies as you can that ACTUALLY work there. As with ANY agency, there are positives and negatives to working there. This website seems to attract some whiners....

It also attracts to those that FEAR the truth....The problem inherently is patrol officers are intimidated by the current regime for fear of retaliation. This forum allows us to speak freely including the cronies without retalitory tactics that would and have occurred if brought to light on duty. Review the attrition rate and the rumors of BW wearing black outfits and terminating employees. Look at the rate of demotion to instill discipline that has occurred over the years which would NOT have occurred If collective bargaining existed. I agree with the posting above that anyone looking to transfer or be hired by CCSO speak to current patrol officers, problem is finding one in uniform that will tell you the TRUTH and NOT what they want you to hear..... Hence the freedom to speak FREELY and w/o retribution on this forum. Good luck job hunting!
