I know that NG really wanted to be in CST. I, on the other hand really want to be in SIU. I wouldn't mind handling a dog. NG and I have the same amount of time on. When are they going to have interviews for the SIU dog like they did for CST? Can anyone advise?

Neither one of you or anybody else with under 5 yrs are ready to go to any specialized position. You need more time on the street to develop. It's not all fun and games like some Sgt DP makes it out to be. COURT is also an important part of being on a specialezed unit, so if you don't plan on attending then don't put in!!!!

Heard that they even had SF working the dog already and everything. But the RAM blew a fuse when he heard that Sergeants were being allowed to apply.

Get your facts straight it was Sgt. JN in SIU who had already had the dog at his home QTH for over a week and then they decided that Sgt.'s should not have them. So now I wonder, does that mean that SGT. HD in patrol will have to give his dog back also??????

So that’s why they changed the wording on the official bulletin to read. "Any Sworn Officer".

Nice.

Does it really matter what the bulletin said? It obviously didn't work!!!!
