TALLAHASSEE (Bay News 9) -- For the second year in a row, Florida's bank account is shrinking by more than the $2.5 billion predicted in November.
Even an eternal optimist such as Gov. Charlie Crist admits there's no way around some nasty cuts.
Lawmakers are on the verge of agreeing to cut more than a half-billion dollars, including a drastic $350 million hit to education. Everything from elementary schools to colleges would be affected.
