STI's

Since we have a string about the best trainers at the range, I was wondering who people thought are the best STI's oout there??

I'm not familiar with alot on the west side. I think 3049 was a great one before he got the additional stripes. 5063 always seemed like a pretty good one to me.

5138 also always seemed to have his trainees squared away as well.

3091, 4930, 4310, are good as well I too dont know much about west, but ive good things about them too

There are very good STI's on the westside, but we have not had trainees lately. Be safe eastsiders.

1001?? Are you serious?? 1001 is a great guy, but I think his time of training people has come and gone. There are plenty of good STI's out there. I think there needs to be a little better management of which STI's each Trainee gets. Some STI's are better at one aspecto the job than others. It would be nice to see each Trainee get an STI that specializes in different things.

For my money I think 4930, 5063 and 4129 are three of the best.

4714 is a very good sti: he's patient, he listens, and just an all around great teacher.

He can definately teach a trainee how to slack his zone partner.

Obveyously you haven't worked on shift with him and had to to take his limas. That's all. Maybe he needs to retire if he is tired of taking calls..........Enough said..............

Fear not ... 1001 will retire soon enough ... and with a nice big one million dollar or so bank account to boot when all is said and done. Most of you will never attain the years and the retirement he's put in at this God forsaken place. So go ahead and talk trash ... I doubt seriously if 1001 really cares much.

1001 is one of the few guys left on the force who isn't mentally Judd controlled. He may be older and set in his ways, but he knows his stuff. Unlike being trained by someone who just dried his ears coming out of the academy.

As I previously posted, 1001 is a great guy, but his time for training anyone is far gone. Heck I'm not sure if he ever had a time he was good training people. At least with the newer STI's, the trainees are at least learning how to take a call. 1001 may know what he is doing (not sure about that), but if your only feeding cats and running to Bartow all day what are you learning??? The guy takes the minimal amount of calls as possible, and by God if he gets a report he stays on the call till the report is complete. Now 1001 has earned the right by his many years of working like that, and I really don't have a problem with it. But, I don't think we should have new people trained by someone like that.

His training days are over anyway ... why all the fuss?

let's face it. the majority of sti's out there are just about as clueless as the trainees. blind leading the blind. besides, with the new way of thinking, trainees only need to know how to be programmed robots who can write b.s. tickets, b.s. fir's, and generally harass decent citizens in the name of "stats".
