Thats pretty good, we will never ever see that great of a pay scale.....MERGER, MERGER :)..... You have Officers here that will not fight for what we deserve. Its partially the Chiefs fault for hiring old retired guys, he knows they arent going to be as motived to change the department for the better. Also you have guys state how they have money problems, but their reply is "just deal with it" This shows they are weak, and just do not know any better.

You know I am tired of hearing people say that it is not our chiefs fault we don't make good money or have better benefits. It's time our chief grew a set and spoke up for us. If he is relunctant to do this it is time to have a vote of no confidence. No excuses, he can't play on both teams. He has to chose.

Got my vote, I mean, can it get any worse???? I now for a fact it cant! The only way it can get worse is if we get money taken away from us. Oh wait, they are about to in a round about way...less holidays, less checks year round, always getting our paychecks wrong if we work OT. PEOPLE WAKE UP! we are getting crapped on! A merger or a changing of the guard needs to happen ASAP!

I'm sure you are thinking about Miami-Dade school police and not Broward. Broward doesn't have school police, BSO and some cities handles schools down there.

I hope you get the same treatment when your time comes. You are nothing more than a cry baby. Good luck, you will need it. You are almost correct but what the chief should have done is not hired you young fools. Good by.

I agree with retired yes the chief should get rid of all the officers here that do not have a pension. Wait I think this is already the strategy. Make it that no one can afford to stay on with the department. That way the numbers can stay low and there will be no crime reported. Everyone can feel good about themselves as they stand around an hour and half after training was to begin and talk about how hard they had it for thirty years in Baltic Spa.

It should not be young versus old. You probably would not be so defensive unless you really are a lazy @$$. Our enemy is AJ and that is who we should be focused on. I will also agree that we young officers have a lot to learn from you old guys. I still can’t make a good cup of coffee and I have not figured out how to sit around all day and complain about how stupid the newer officers are doing wrong while actually not doing anything yourselves. Teach on brother Teach on!!!!!!

Copied & Pasted off of Broward School District's Human Resources section. Broward has 16-20 officers that function like our DetBu. They may be handling more as some cities are refusing to handle calls like an Attempt Sexual Battery on a school bus because the jurisdiction that it happened in cannot be pinpointed as the bus traverses several cities.

You had your time, now relax and enjoy your retirement, because I know if you were to work In Riveria or WPB, you would be long gone. If you wear the badge you should be able to work in any school, which is not the case for you. The older guys work the easy schools while the others bust their butt at high energy schools, look at the rooster grandpa. If you are only here for the schedule go sell computers or fight for us to get what we deserve!!!
