The Poor blue balls are trying to get the stadium detail from us by having a demonstration at there tiny little city hall in the morning lol. They just have to learn that we are better then they will ever dream of being and we will be the ones working that venue. We should go there in the morning and laugh. There department is so messed up I doubt that they will even get 5 cats to show up.

Actually it was Strong Mayor Carlos Alvarez's "mentor" Alex Penelas who promoted the name change, and brought to an election. Had it been up to us Dade County Deputy Sheriffs, it would have remained Dade County!

MIAMI-dade had a deputy chief Gonzalez who ran a home invasion crew as an off-duty job. Fed's just took over the county housing agency for giving friends sweetheart deals. And county hall is named after Stephen Clark who avoided being tried for kick backs and bribes due to dying from cancer. Corruption? County's middle name is corruption. And your right, you guys would never pick MIAMI for your name, but the politicos shoved it down your throat, as they tired of, Dade County? Where is Dade County? So NOW with Miami in your name, people have clue that you exist. And Alex was just the first of many who tried to change the county name.

The hurdles for Miami's $3 billion megaplan -- already the subject of a legal challenge by auto magnate Norman Braman -- keep growing with two crucial developments.
No. 1: Miami's police union, unhappy with how police staffing would be handled at the proposed new Florida Marlins baseball stadium, is trying to join Braman's suit against the city and county over a development blueprint that would also build a port tunnel and museum park downtown.
No. 2: Miami city commissioners, meanwhile, appear primed to revote on the entire megaplan later this month because of the hasty way it was first approved in December. Doing so could help beat back one piece of Braman's legal challenge, contending commissioners improperly rushed their historic vote.
Under city code, any legislation approved by the city must be distributed to commissioners five days prior to a vote. That didn't happen with the megaplan.
Braman is pressing the five-day rule in court. Miami's legal team tried to get that issue dismissed in court, but without success so far.
So the city is going forward with plans for a revote, a move that could strengthen Miami's legal case -- but also force the city to publicly acknowledge rules were skirted the first time around.
The tentative revote date: April 24.
''We want to be, let's say, prudent,'' Miami City Manager Pete Hernandez said. ``The intent was proper throughout.''
Miami City Commissioner Tomás Regalado, the lone no vote against the megaplan in the past, predicted opponents of the spending plan will flood City Hall to speak out against it during the revote.
''Having to vote again is very embarrassing for the city,'' Regalado said.
Miami police, meanwhile, have repeatedly complained about how one aspect of the plan -- policing at the new stadium -- is being handled. A proposal approved by county leaders earlier this week called for city and county police to share the valuable off-duty jobs at the new stadium, under a joint command structure.
But Miami police -- who are used to patrolling the Orange Bowl without county involvement -- are taking their grievances to court. On Friday, the union filed legal papers in hopes of joining Braman's lawsuit against the megaplan.
''We have an interest in the outcome,'' police union attorney Osnat Rind said Wednesday
