Illegals

Thanks for doing what the the Fed's should be doing but won't. Illegals are a drain on the economy and the tax supported services they soak up. Their cheap labor is not passed on to the consumer but pocketed by the contrctors. If you noticed the price of roofing doubled to homeowners notwithstanding the contractors use of mexican labor. If you put enough pressure on the employers of illegals they will quit hiring them, word will get around and they will abandon Santa Rosa County.

If this were anything other than a polical move, the Sheriff would have attempted to create cooperation with a multi-agency/multi-jurisdictional task force. Once again, he only looks for the chance to be in the headlines. As an example, one would only look back in time and observe how drug activity "just moves" to another jurisdiction when pressure is applied. The same philosophy can be applied to this situaiton. The illegals will (or have) learn to keep their heads down and move back to Santa Rosa County when the Sheriff's little task force is disbanded and the pressure is off. Congrats Sheriff, for nothing.

Ya'll stank

If this thing is so big and such a problem, why aren't ANY other agencies, particularly the federal agencies, getting involved? Why? Because they see it's a political ploy and that's it.

Looks like the dream team fizzled out. They are back to their regualr assignments. Perhaps the "shurf" may have lost a vote or too. Thats too bad. The dream team kicked buttocks.

The feds can not effectively fight this mammoth problem alone. Unless local law enforcement gets involved Western Civilization is as good as dead. Go visit our southwestern states and look around. Give it another 20 years... or less.

How much in taxes do you think they paid? The restaurant only claimed a 4 figure profit for last year. Right on Pedro, send the American dinero to Mexico!

Why didn't they do this check of the roofing company and cleanup company that re-built the Sheriff's Office after Ivan? Maybe it was because it wasn't an election year?

It was an election year iggy.

I hear the owner only claimed 13k on his income taxes last year. Not bad, huh? Did anyone else notice that when you paid your bill in cash that it was never rung up on the register?
