Please read this and pass this on to as many LEOs, firefighters, first responders, their friends & families, and all residents of Davie........
With the help of the PBA & FOP, we will be spreading the word and asking for your attendance at the following meeting:
In response to the recent firings of two Davie Police Officers who had heart attacks on duty, we are asking that you attend the next Davie Town Council meeting. It is on Wed. March 5, 2008 at 7pm at 6501 Orange Drive. It is open mike night also, which means that if you are a Davie resident, you are permitted to speak directly to the Town Council for 3 minutes, and voice any support that you would like to give to these Officers & their families. In order to speak, you must sign in prior to the meeting and then when the meeting starts, they simply go row by row starting at the front until everyone has a chance to speak.
Even if you do not wish to speak, please show up to give your support to this important matter. This could happen to anyone at anytime who is in this line of work. We have to band together and do something so Davie and any other City realizes they cannot disregard their employees and make them disposable.
PLEASE SHOW YOUR SUPPORT - INSTEAD OF JUST TYPING OR TALKING ABOUT IT - THIS IS THE TIME TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE !!!!!!!
