I am just trying to figure out what happened tonight with the MVA where someone crossed over the median. I understand the person was on house arrest and was possibly intoxicated and posssibly has a suspended DL. I also understand a certain Sgt. who was off duty came out to the scene and escorted to driver of Veh # 1, who is related to the aforementioned Sgt. Why is this permitted

I don't know anything about this incident, but I do know one thing... It's not difficult to figure out who you are from your horrible spelling and grammar. Ever notice how some people write like they speak...?

Oh, and the username is pretty fitting, as well.

Signal 20,

I hope you don't mind that I changed the wording on this a bit:

"I am just trying to inform myself as to what happened earlier tonight at the scene of a crash involving a vehicle crossing over the median. I understand that one of the parties was on house arrest and was possibly intoxicated. She also may have a suspended DL. I have also heard that a certain off duty Sergeant, who was related to this person, came out to the scene and was escorted the driver of Vehicle One. Why is this permitted?"

It's still essentially untrue, but it reads better.

Hey Sarge, something is still wrong here------> "I have also heard that a certain off duty Sergeant, who was related to this person, came out to the scene and was escorted the driver of Vehicle One."

if anyone has a problem with taking care of each other then maybe they should look to go work somewhere else. i would do everything in my power ,if a family member of someone i work with has a lapse in judgement and makes a mistake,to help them out anyway i could. you never know when you might need a little help from your friends.

I appreciate your efforts here, but please do not imitate me. There is and will always be only one true English 101.

Now, stop trying to figure out who I am and get back to your nonsense.

Hello English 101,

I do believe that "English 101?????" was pointing out a grammatical error in your reply. He was attempting to help you, because let's face it, we all need help at some point in our lives.

I was not going to dignify the original poster's missive with a response, but I can see that some of the cops that I work with are concerned about what happened.

I have a sister-in-law that is on house arrest for possession of crack cocaine. On both of her prior arrests I was contacted by officers as a courtesy, and I thanked them on both occasions. You see kids, when someone is that heavily into drugs, they become a danger to everyone around them.

Last night, I got a call from my brother telling me that his wife was in a head on collision. I responded to the scene of the crash, like any cop that I know would do, if they had found out a family member was involved in a serious crash.

I briefly spoke with my brother and the officers on scene. I never made contact with my sister-in-law, because, quite frankly, I think that she is a menace to society. I will not discuss what I observed on scene, because I was not the investigating officer.

However, I will say that I would not lift a finger to get her out of trouble at this point in her life. If anyone on here has any further questions about this, they can seek me out, on or off duty. I have not been on this site in over a year, but I was informed about this thread by a friend and thought it better to find out what was said. Anything you hear other than what I listed, is incorrect.

I appreciate the support that I received from other cops on this thread, but I wont be joining you on here anymore. My personal opinion is that we are too good for a site that allows people to hide behind names like "signaltwenty" or "English101"...actually it's mostly "signaltwenty." "English101 is funny."

I know that I probably will never find out the identity of "Signaltwenty," but he or she needs to understand how little the world thinks of this kind of cowardly sniping.

No, "English 101?????" was pointing out a grammar error in MikeD549's reply where he was correcting signaltwenty's original post. I simply pointed out that while I appreciate his/her assistance, there is only one true "English 101." I understand that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but I need no flattery (or imitation).

So, next time you think that you know what you're talking about, please, think again and make sure. Otherwise, keep your mouth shut (or your fingers still, in this case) until you have something of importance to share with your fellow anonymous bashers. Until then, keep up with the nonsense.

Welcome back english 101.

I can't believe I missed this post.

No, MikeD549 is not English 101. I am English 101. MikeD549 is way too busy writing fiction and reading our horribly written reports to take time out to play English 101. But nice try. It does crack me up when I hear people say, "I think English 101 has to be Nasta, or Joe, or Mike," because you're all wrong.

I'm just someone who simply likes poking fun at the absurdity of this message board and those who think they know everything. I enjoy pointing out the flaws of those who point out the flaws of others. If you read through my posts, I think you'll find that I don't participate in the ridiculous discussions and bashings like you folks. Instead, I like to point out how absurd this who thing is by bashing you (or people like you) based on your grammar and spelling (which, in reality, is much more important than most of the things that you guys bash each other about anyway...)

So, again, stop trying to figure out who I am and continue with the nonsense...

(Oh, and I forgot to enter my username for the previous post... I wrote that one, too...)

02-16-2008, 03:55 PM
It is confirmed - English 101 showed us all by his bashing of Grammar101 that he is a D**K..... Everyone shows their true colors eventually... Go back to your nonsense and continue your pitiful existense....

If everyone on here would just once put their efforts and time and energy into something positive, imagine what we could do... ?? ..

If you're just figuring out that I'm bashing people because of their poor grammar and pitifully unimportant arguments, then you haven't been paying attention.

Also, how ironic is it that you call me a "d**k," but then talk about everyone else being positive?? Now THAT is funny.

You're making the same argument that I'm making. Only for some reason you're pissed off that I'm making it. I haven't bashed anyone who hasn't first bashed someone else (for something stupid, usually). I only bash them based on their stupid posts. Not their police work, their personality, their life choices, etc. I do this to point out how stupid it is to anonymously bash others for these things by making fun of their grammar and spelling. Even more amusing is that most of the people that do bash others for no reason or for misunderstood reasons (i.e. Signaltwenty) have EXTREMELY poor (usually around a third grade level) English skills....

So, I will continue with my nonsense as long as you continue yours. Until then, let's just be negative and piss each other off.. What do you say?
