Other departments do have better benefits. We were heading that way then something happened. Yes, we make good money and the brass make much more. They need to take care of us, we darn sure take care of them and the community. Look at the budget it's twice what it used to be and we haven't seen any of it and the brass are not telling us anything. Other dept's are always informed about their budget and pay. All we get here is we're looking into it. This dept is top heavy Sgt's and LT's are sitting around doing nothing but bragging on themselves, look at tampa and brighton., enough said. Bottom line we have a job.

BTW there are SEVERAL officers that are not retired, just put in YEARS in other departments... then decided to give Seminole PD a try. Why not get paid what you're worth? Hey Seminole Guys, don't worry about this coward who hides behind a guest/anonymous screen name and who is still thinking about me 6 years later; I have moved on from law enforcement to get away from G.E.D possessing, (patrolmen for life), back-stabbing cops like this. It's true I was fired from Cooper City, for one because I failed to rat out a fellow cop, whom they wanted to fire even more than me but more importantly, they wanted me to lie to save myself from congregating, traveling outside the city without permission; minor infractions in comparison to some who are still employed there. Anyway, I won my case against Cooper City and they had to remove the termination from my record and pay me the 3 months I was out of a job. I did not return because I wanted the money instead and Seminole hired me; a place I enjoyed working at and made $30, $40 and $52 thousand dollars more than I did at Cooper City, three out of the four years I was there. I only left Seminole, because I wanted to become an Attorney and make even more money. There were some good cops at Cooper City but the better ones were all Sergeants. There were even better cops at Seminole. I can verify all of this information; I don't hide behind an anonymous post or omit relevant facts to manipulate the truth.

Doophus is not a word in the English Dictionary. In the legal profession it is sometimes okay when making an argument to use RUN ON sentences. I know you were never taught that in your G.E.D course but I know now that at least you remember one grammar rule. You used spell check, which is another point in your favor. Now from what I hear the SPD likes to arrest cop's brothers,sisters, sons, and daughters for BS. Please provide proof of the financial distress that the Hard Rock / Clubs are in. Do you have financial records, statistics, or evidence to back your post, or are you just uttering hot air out of your filthy sewer.

I will say that I have worked here some time and have never seen it busier. With the Black Jack tables hitting the floor soon, I imagine that an even larger and more diverse crowd will soon find their way to 1 Seminole Way. Hard Rock will be the largest and busiest entertainment district in South Florida offering, Black Jack, Baccarat, Poker, Vegas Slots, Night Clubs, 5 Star Restaurants, Bars, Spas, Comedy Clubs, Museums, Retail Shopping; and the Hard Rock Live featuring Boxing, UFC, A – List musical performers, Rodeos, and comedians.

So the choices are:
Go to Fort Lauderdale and deal with the traffic and wanna be gangsters.
Go to Miami and possibly become the victim of a violent crime
Or go to Palm Beach and be plain bored out of your mind.

Now from what I hear the SPD likes to arrest cop's brothers,sisters, sons, and daughters for BS. So whatever it means to "commit a victim crime", unless one of the SPD is personally injured or involved give me a break. Even if the cop who is named isn't present. You sound not only like a ROOKIE, but an IDIOT. No off duty cop is going to hit someone in front of an on duty cop and not go to jail. No honest on duty cop anyway. If the off duty was a REAL COP he would have more respect than that.
