These are the best radios in the world, im glad that MW picked them. I wish he would come back. I am thinking of coming back toFIU. I heard that everyone misses me.

we need more county handhelds more officer then radios. also are radios dont work at the jail or court

We also need the radios because local not working or the dispatchers dont know how to use local

You can run someone on FIU = Always QRU

Same person on the County = 40 Over/40 Under Alpha and a BW

Gentlemen it happened again radios did not work for at least 3 hours, it is sad that we dont have a back up plan.

some crappy motorolas which are not meant for police use. similar to MDFR radios except theirs work.

We have the Motorola HT1250-LS if you look it up on Motorola website it said it’s made for construction company not law enforcement. But the real problem is the low end repeater. There is no automatic back up if it goes down. To safe money they were buying cheap A$$ equipment. Department deiced to listen to a company that the owner later got arrested for Impersonating a PO by Miami Dade Police. Also to hide how much we pay for this radio system they got equipment at different times so it was not on one bill last tine I heard we pay more then 175000 on the system. 175000 dollars for a radio that does work at the jail, court and sometimes on campus. I also believe the county would put us on their radio system 110000 dollars at the time was the quote and radio would work at the court and jail.

It was probably something they made up so they can entertain us maybe? Either that or the joke's on us.

the entire radio system is a deadspot. its not afew spots, its everywhere. plus, whats even more worriesome is that the radio system just seems to go down without any warning or anything. and for no reason.

Even after the Beacon reports another story about the radios, it will never be anough apparently. The admin is in denial...
