You said that right brother. Lets count the excellent officers who will be leaving the agency in 2008 because of the lies. I know for a fact that their are numerous good quality leo officers in Hollywood that have applications in elsewhere. What does that tell ya. GOOD LUCK TO THEM. I HOPE THEY GET THAT PENSION AND MONEY THEIR LOOKING FOR.

It's funny how things change here from one day to the next. When I started it was a gauranteed seven percent yearly raise. Now its like feeding you B.S to keep you looking forward to see nothing in your future. SPD get ready to take note, or I may have just tipped you off. Watch and SEE. Good way to keep the morale high (Politicians). :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

so "Maybe" we will not get the COLA this year but the 5 % you recieved in OCT is consistent and in most cases ahead of industry standard.

I know you have been unsucessful in the past but there are many books out there that teach you how to pass a psych and poly test.

The new admin, has done nothing, to improve pay and benefits, and they said that was a top priority, they could care less, And they really expect us to believe they their B/S. Your going to see a major staff turnover in 2008. You can count on that. And the peer groups what a joke.

If you all think life is so much better at other agencies then maybe you should check out some of their blogs on this sight. We all knew coming into this agency what we were facing. Right now your dealing with something called politics and I think we have a Chief and Dep. Chief doing all that they can within their "power" to get us what we need.
With that said, all I can tell ya is dont let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. We have officers leaving this agency JUST like all the other agencies in S.Fla, I say happy huntin and good luck finding the promise land. This is cop work, this is what working within a political arena is all about and if you have a hard time coping with it then perhaps your in the wrong field.
I feel the same way as many other here.... all you complianers are a cancer to the agency. There are only a select few of you and most of us know exactly who you are so we consider the source when listening to your dribble.

Ultimately, it is up to Tribal Council to approve any benefits, or pay increases. And you know how most of the Tribe feels about non-tribal members. When it comes down to it the Indians could give a rats azz, about SPD having a pay raise or retirement plan. Thats just the way it is. I mean for gods sake, we cant even get an increase in annual leave.

Glad I got you two morons to respond, this makes the whole thing more fun. First of all for moron #1, your right... the tribe could care less about us BUT, we protect their best intrest (casino $$) and they know it. What is the alternative? Police themselves?? Local PD's?? They know they have it good with us, they deal with the fact that the bad apples of the rez's take a ride to jail just like anyone else!
Now, for moron #2 (I would venture to say you work a northern rez). If you only knew who the hell I was it would probably shock the hell out of you. I am not brass, I am not outspoken at work and I could care less how you feel about me. Furthermore, you have no clue what rez I work at. I am a realist, your a *****er. Your not satisfied unless you get all the goodies in the grab bag. Take your negative mojo and feed it to another family of LE. Most of the people I work with feel very comfortable with our present situation. Sure, we would all love better benifits, more money and a pension.... but we came here with what was offered and we will wait out to see what happens. I make plenty of money right now where I invest a large amount of $$ on my own. If your not smart enough to do the same then shut your pie hole cause the rest of us are tired of listening to the premeditated stupidity pouring out of that hole in your face every time you come to work!
Love ya bud, chow!

Shot slapper, we can tell by your post you are very uneducated and stupid. We all agree with this, I'll get with you later. Bye

How do you figure we protect casinos, they have security for that. They dont need SPD for that. If thats the case why in Las Vegas you dont see a bunch of cops all over the place.

This Jack _ _ s OBVIOUSLY does not work at either of the reservations with Hard Rock Casinos.

If I had to guess you are a jailer crossover that has been with SPD for 4-7 years slightly overweight and disgruntled in your personal (home) and professional life.

We do protect the casions by providing professioanl level police services

You mean hmmmm, professional bingo enforcement agency.

SPD is a joke. The only law enforcement you guys do is trespass after warning. Security guards in blue uniforms.

If you want to be a real cop, join a real agency in south florida.

I love it when you guys come over to this blog and throw your input in. This comment doesnt phase most of us, simply because it shows how little you actually know. These comments are normally made by those that applied but didnt make the cut, jealous because they work non-stop showing up to work with calls holding every day or have previously been such an idiot at Paradise that we had to get involved.
You can be the hater all you want, I work smart .. not hard. You keep bustin your butt out there soldier, let me know what your health is like in 20 years. I am sure your a firm believer that your making a difference out there...lol later!

By the way slap shot, I worked for SPD for for several years, I now work for PBSO District 7. Our pay is better than Seminole, we have a Union. I dare you to mention the word Union at Seminole, see what happens. I have job security, they cant just up and fire me for any reason, like I know Seminole does. You sound proud of your agency, like I was when I worked there, but it has many shortcomings and you know it. And several years down the road you will wise up like I did and many others working for SPD and get out of that place. I have not ever regreted leaving SPD. I worked under three administration there and they all promise the world, and never follow through with anything, and history seems to always repeat itself at Seminole. Good luck, you will need it there. By the way PBSO is hiring, Starting pay is higher, and you will get more than three days annual leave a year. LOL.

Hey Slap shot, just curious how many months have you been employed at SPD. Is this your first job, since you graduated high school. Obviously you have not been here long, you actually believe the B/S. What the old saying"I got some ocean front property" your probably too young to have a clue what im getting at.
