I’ve been here a while
Trying to bring some fun
With rhyme and satire
And occasional pun
To brighten your day
And give you a laugh
Giving slack to the agents
While aiming for the staff
It was never my intent
To offend anyone
It was just my way
Of having some fun
To lighten things up
And humor your day
I’d rack my brain
For clever things to say
The poet has talent
Uncle Buck said of me………………../thanks Uncle Buck
And it went to my head
Like a supersonic bee
But you know from my words
I’ve been where you are
I’ve been in your meetings
I’ve driven your car
I know your loses
I know your gain
I read in your postings
Your sorrow and pain
I know in my heart
There’s nothing I can do
To change anything
That’s important to you
This brings me sadness
And I want you to know it
I’m not a crusader
Only a poet
So, for whatever it’s worth
My postings will end
Knowing somewhere among you
I have a friend
Adios, au revoir, goodbye, auf wiedersehen
~Secret poet
"Sooner or later in life, we all sit down to a banquet
of consequences."
~Robert Lewis Stevenson
