No, unlike you officers from piss-ant departments, MDPD has a close working relation with the FBI, ATF, others and the US Attorney's Office. The reason MDPD chose to go Federal is that firearm and threat dissemination via the Internet charges will have more severe FEDERAL consequences! That is how a great County Police Department utilizes its resources and liaisons with the Federal Government to apprehend and prosecute criminals. Then again, we don't expect you to understand. I read that an under age prostitution ring was broken up as a result of these arrests. Great job too all involved.

There is no gang unit that's one of the biggest reasons we have drug gang shootings. The gang unit and TNT being disbanded by Patterson/Perez and Gimenez was crazy.
