Jail Work Enviroment

I'm curious about the work environment in the Jail. I sit good, bad or other? What kind of schedule do you work? Do C/O's actually get to transfer out to the road if they want?

Lastly I'm curious can a prospective applicant take a tour of the facility to see it for themselves.

Work enviroment is other...

You can xfer to the road after 2 years.

It is required that you take a tour before they start your backround.

Why not just go for the road if that's what you want? Corrections will suck the life out of you if what you really want is the road...

Actually I want to work the Jail. I only asked because I hear that a lot of depts promise crossovers but never deliver and I just asked as this would lead to unhappy troops who want to be on the road but are stuck due to staffing or admin that would just rather not deal with the turnover.

Not short at all...We are stacked for now.
