Teacher's raise

I read where the S.R.C. teachers are receiving a pay raise, I wonder where they found the funds? I hope there was some left over for us. :lol:

The School Board is a seperate taxing authority from the County Commission so it has nothing at all to do with where the money for the operation of the Sheriff's Office comes from. The School Board receives money from the State of Florida as well. Considering Santa Rosa County school's are rated at the top I wonder why they received the lowest raise of any teacher's in the area? (Okaloosa 10%, Escambia the home of the F school 8%)

Wasn't there a recent 1.4 million land deal made by the county? After we were told no money for raises?
