Why do Hwood Officers constantly ***** and complain about picking up warrant cases from Probation? All you have to do is handcuff and transport! They have active warrants for their arrest so you have to pick them up. Lay off the attitude and do your job!!!!!!

How about you mind your business it sucks when you have to sit on that person because he violated because he went to the hospital and was not home they can sit on there own and transport there own also

I aggree, if you all had to transport your own, then you wouldnt violate them for such stupid reasons all the time. Police academy rejects!

Probation Officers want more roles and to transport but the State has no money for transport cars.

I hope something good comes of this. both sides have valid points. Unfortunally Florida statute dictates what rules Probation has to follow. It will take a change in the law (thru the legislature) to amend what they do.
In the meantime, it is common sense to "go where the bad guys are" and make arrests. Even Probation wants PD's to get credit for every visit to a Probation office.
This really is not an us versus them situation. Both sides work well together when needed.
time will tell.
