Question to consider:

To what extent is your supervisor responsible for your performance and work product?

To the extent that you document, because if it ain't on paper, it never happened.

Po Boy,

Allow me to rephrase, to make the question more clear.

In what way does your supervisor affect the way and manner in which you do your job, through her/his leadership style, attitude, communication skill and so on?

I'm just trying to conduct an intelligent discussion rather than the usual garbage.

I think everyone knows what he is talking about. Some surpervisers come in at 10:30 or 11:00 take a lunch and leave by 3:30 4:00. you can tell them about a case then the next day they are clueless. Some of them are 10-8 but some dont deserve to be a police officer and dont even know what that means. yes the honeymoon is over and we are stuck with what we got. Old ties are hard to break. In some districts dont do anything to even exist if the news ever found out we would all be out of a job.

Take it easy guys and gals.. I love it that mine is only in the office a few hours a day and is clueless to what is going on.. I get paid to sit a my desk and play games on the internet that thay pay for. I make good $$ and I dont have to do much of nothing, if they replace him with a cop then I would have to leave the office. All you have to do is look at case info and you can tell that most of us do the same thing.
