LEO Brothers and Sisters,

You have volunteered for one of the most stressful, tense, saddening, and demanding professions there is.

Day in and day out you deal with the worst society has to offer. You are spit on, put down, disregarded, feared, and cursed.

You are rarely called the heroes you are. People rarely thank you for being there. The public takes your presence for granted. Politicians use you as pawns.

With all of the stress and worries of your job, plus the added stress and worries of daily family life, remember, you are not alone in this world.

Again, you are not alone in this world.

You have people who do care about you. When you're in muster, or line up, or Waffle House or Denny's at 4am in the morning, look left, look right, look at those sitting with you in green, blue, or tan. Rookie or veteran, drinking buddy or not, they are your brothers, your sisters, and sometimes the only thing keeping you out of harms way.

No matter what color the uniform or cruiser, whether you're city, county, or state, we are supposed to be here for each other in any time of need. No prejudice, no malice, no backstabbing, no jealousy. We are supposed to be here for each other - there's no one who will stand with us.

If you are depressed, confused, saddened, contemplating suicide, or thinking about any other life altering, permanent decision, take time to talk to someone. Asking for help has nothing to do with being manly or masculine - It has to do about living.

No matter how bad things seem, how mad you are at your spouse, boyfriend, girlfriend, or even yourself... nothing in this world is worth the taking of your own life.

Take time to talk to someone.

Ask for help.

Even a hero needs some help sometime.

Even a hero needs some help sometime.

Yeah. And everyone needs a hero!

Satriale has proven himself to be a buffoon. Everyone knows it's a gyro which everyone wants.
