Sarasota wasn't a major home for homeless people (aka bums) until the Salvation Army build a "regional homeless shelter" at 10th St. & Orange Avenue. That "regional homeless shelter" offered free services to the homeless (aka bums & drug addicts). Word of this spread quickly, throughout southwest Florida and Sarasota became a magnet for homeless people (aka bums) and that's why our homeless population (aka bums) has increased significantly. Thank you Salvation Army for building a "regional homeless shelter" in Sarasota. :roll:
