Certification

I'm FL certified and was curious once you leave your agency in FL how many years is your law enforcement certification good for? I was told 5 years, but wasn't sure if that was correct or not. Thank you.

4 years, if you go to another state like Georgia only 3. Check with each state. Also if you can attend the mandatory training blocks with some agency, even with the one you left, this should extend the time.
Some states have firearm qualifications for retirees, but not Florida at this time. Good idea in this day and age. Also apply for your CCF license. It "was" free to LEOS , but they changed it and I was charged $ 75.00. Good luck. also retirement isnt what its cracked up to be.. if you are young and like working ... as usual the grass is not greener only quiter !
If you have plenty money and things to do... well enjoy ! But me .. I get bored easily. Like placing bad guys in jail and bantering with defense attorneys. No matter what you do... good luck !
