Sarasota County commissioners got straight to the issue that brought so many people to a budget hearing. Most were concerned about the recent decision to close the south county jail intake facility. "It's upset an awful lot of people, and not just the people from North Port."
About 30 of those people from north port rode in a chartered bus to this meeting. They wore red in solidarity...all saying the closing of the south county facility will have the greatest impact on their safety.
