Metro vs MDPD

Isn't your HQ is a city that is unincorporated. Soon, the Doral PD will be patroling your HQ. Pinecrest, Aventura, Miami Gardens, etc. are all cities who just got damn tired of receiving bad service. There was a time when "Metro" was the shiit! That's a long time ago. Truth is that your Department is a shell of what it once was.

I'd rather work for Miami, Gables, School Board, Aventura before I'd ever work for the folks who should be wearing green. And no...I didn't get turned down for a job there...cause I'd never apply.

It seems that original county poster has been removed. But since he started the discussion about problems, let me help the ignorant county puppy. First, let take your agency's identity criss. You have been known as the Road patol, sheriff's office, (big time corruption got you) the public safety Dept. Then you wanted to be Metro police dept. But a major at that "brain" storming meeting, poited out you would then be MPD and that idea crashed and burned. So you be came Metro-dade police depart. Then since all you politicos hate expalining what and where Dade is, the politicos got your name changed to the Hated MIAMI-dade police dept. Yeah, the command staff on 25st dropped a load in their breeches at that one. Now corruption didn't stop with the Public safety dpet name change. That kept right on going. remember your PIO boss who wasn't a cop and had porno in his office desk? HISTORY. Chief bobby gonzalez and the 29 crew he ran? And now how many are facing charges for doing explorers, robbing drug dealers and such. Sorry, forgot the homicide guys who were robbing drug dealers and selling back the drugs to other dealers? I have many more of these "GEMS".

NOW, you can post all of our as?holes who have done the these thing too, and we can tear each other up, or stop crapping on each other's agency and play nice. Why should we? When the crapppola hits the fan, we only have each other to run the 3-15's. And I have run a number of 3-15's to central units and to the cops working crandon park beach. And when Broom was murdered, the entire County detectiive unit on 14 st flooded overtown. What I am trying to say is, we ARE family. And our family trash doesn't need to get into public. So why not play nice and get along? But if you wish not, we can destroy each other.

Hey we just knock on each other in fun...I can speak for everyone, which was proven last week when the $hit hits the fan...No one cares the color or the uniform or they color of the badge. We will take care of each other; I will always help out a brother in need. Many times I've had a car full of morons pulled over and I've looked in my rear view and had the green machine behind me till my 15 arrives, as I've done for them. So when you see us rag on each other it's nothing more that frat houses having fun, but in the end we're all from the same school.

Take a minute and look through some of the other department's pages and read some of what is written...
Our department only recently got involved in this website and I have been dreading the day, because of what it seems to breed. There is rumor mongering and back biting and that sort of behaviour, it is ugly. Here, unfortunately, it affords you the opportunity to be anonymous, always a strong incentive to vent without regard.
Each of us probably has a friend or two on each of the neighboring departments, do we need to keep on stroking this imaginary hatred between them? We'll all participate, we all know it. Please think before you write, the person you discuss won't ahve the benefit of being anonymous for very long and imagined hatred goes far. Thanks for thinking about it. I am sure you know who this is... and please be careful out there. D :D

Every department that has been providing service for a while has had its problems but the city of miami has been and by the representation on this site will be the laughing stock of police departments in south florida because of its officers.

very interesting in your choice of name, Mr Freud would have a field day with it. But your very sadly informed. You special units only came about after another agency already did it. I can list the special units you were the last to have in this county, but read the all post again. But the telling of the story is that the brown gown clowns are getting smaller as every area that can, is becoming a city, to have their own dept. Why would they vote to tax themselves MORE if they are happy with their police service ? Soon, you will have the ports and, well just the ports. And remember this kid, the lowly Miami Police Dept, saved your head quaters in 1980 when your super cops did NOTHING. Ask the current director if he was one of detectives SAVED by us. You are so right! Ever since Carlos Alvarez became director, the county police force has been in a state of free fall! If voters do not get to approve the elected sheriff proposal, MDPD will soon be patrolling Miami-Dade's most economically depressed and blighted areas, along with the Air and Sea Ports, JMH and other countywide functions!
