Chief Smith for BSO Sheriff???

Is Chief Smith trying to get his name on the list in getting appointed by Gov. Charlie Crist for Broward Sheriff? Here goes the rumor mill

No BSO for Smith. He's probably trying to secure a position as a Captain or Colonel with PBSO. He should have followed Hampshire on the way out.
