Im just curious, I am looking at applying. I am currently a police officer in the bay area.

12 hour shifts. We don't rotate. Permanent shifts. On a year bid. New contract (Oct 1) we can carry off duty with agency issued firearm. Currently,we can carry our own firearms off duty as long as you qualify with it. If you're in patrol you normally rotate zones. Morale....that's another story.
