View Full Version : Passing of a Former Officer and Friend

08-12-2007, 03:38 PM
I'm saddened to learn that our former employee and good and loyal friend, Adrian Kirksey passed away late last evening. Adrian started at the Sheriff’s Office in 1960 in the Jail, later promoted to Investigator, Sgt., Lt., Capt. and retired as Major after over 30 years of service and his health declined.

The funeral will be handled by Faith Chapel South. Arrangements are being made as to date and times, tentatively believed to be Tuesday Eve for visitation with the funeral Wednesday. Check back with the obit in the paper for details.

His wife, Deanna would like as many of the "D" Shift Officers from the early 70’s who worked with Adrian on his first Patrol Shift as a Sgt. to be notified if they can be found. The officers who were on the original “D” Shift with Adrian were:

Dave Crowder
Paul DeLorenzo
David Hammond
Doug Heist
Fred Kennedy
Gary Muller
Fred Price
Ray Rathlev
Ken Repine
Paul Scholz

As far as I know, Doug Heist is the only one who is not still with us. If you know of the whereabouts of any of the others or how to contact them, please let them know about Adrian’s passing.
