Dear Seminole County Deputies,
The Coastal Florida Police Benevolent Association would like the opportunity to represent you for the purposes of collective bargaining and to get a collective bargaining agreement (contract) for you. Most of the agencies in Florida now have collective bargaining agreements so that the employees can have a say in their wages and benefits. We currently represent the Oviedo PD and Cassellberry PD in Seminole County. We have filed a representation petition to represent the Oviedo PD Lts.
Now is the time to come on board. Feel free to contact me at 386.258.7579 or by email at ingrampba@aol.com for more info.
Sincerely,
Nate Ingram
Executive Director
Coastal Florida PBA

Hey Natey-boy,

Why are you such a tool?

Just wanted you to know after years with the PBA, declining service, lousy attorneys a dictator as the President and Executive Director, the Port St Lucie PD dumped the PBA and went with IUPA.

The total votes were 126 for IUPA and only 11 for PBA.

With IUPA, you will have your own local executive board officers from you own department. You will have a labor attorney at the bargaining table, not a staff rep like with the PBA. You will control your own destiny and not have to listen to a President or e-board from another city as with the PBA.

Melbourne PD also dumped the PBA. Why would two of their big bargaining units dump them. Just read above.

For god's sake, DON'T join the PBA. They are a bunch of morons, not that IUPA is any better and with IUPA you'll get your fill of this dopey cop from Port St. Lucie PD Jim Weinert who thinks he's some kind of labor expert but in reality doesn't know his butt from a hole in the ground. The only thing he does is sit in his office at an elementary school, yeah, he's a kindergarten cop, and complain about whatever union he's currently a member of when he's not busy stabbing his friends and co-workers in the back.

If you're going to unionize, go with the FOP. FOP does a credible job and will fight for you and get you the contract and benefits you deserve. You go with PBA, you're going with Nate Ingram, a guy who doesn't know how to do his own job and had to be sent to several seminars to be taught how to do it (and he's still screwing up) and who has been the cause of two large bargaining units dumping the PBA over the past year. Nate will b.s. you, tell you how good the PBA is, how they have great benefits and a wonderful staff attorney, neglecting to mention that they just fired one for the second time and the guy they hired to replace her has ZERO experience in labor law. If you sit around long enough, Nate will tell you about his long career as a police officer, when actually he never made it past his probationary period and was fired..ahem, resigned...to go to work for the Florida PBA as a staff rep. He'll tell you one lie after another to get those rep cards signed and filed with PERC and get the PBA's foot into your wallet. Ask about the PBA's civilian division, the PEA getting slapped down during contract impasses in Port Orange, and how they can't get a contract for civilan employees in Brevard county and find out about the lousy record Nate Ingram has complied since he started with the PBA.

Once you do that, you'll realize the only possible choice is FOP!

I'm sure you all haven't noticed, because it's not something that the Coastal Florida PBA will brag about on their website, but they just lost ANOTHER unfair labor practice that they filed, this one against the Flagler County Sheriff's Office. Was this filed a labor attorney? No, it was filed by staff rep Johnny D. Bingham, and promptly thrown out by the PERC General Counsel Steve Meck for among other reasons, Johnny not citing to the proper law (and citing to the contract, rather than the law) in his unfair labor practice charge and for NOT INCLUDING A COPY OF THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT with his unfair labor practice charge.

Case number 2008-CA-066, Coastal Florida PBA v. Flagler County Sheriff's Office, dismissed in two days.

FOR GOD'S SAKE, DON'T GO PBA!!!!!!!!!
