MyFLorida jobs website shows no vacancies for FDLE agent positions. Is this correct? I'm looking to work in the Miami/Broward area.

There are openings in Miami. Do you have a 4 year college degree?

Three years college, five years LE. Lots of training.

The new minimum quals are: 4 years sworn and/OR a 4 year college degree

Anyone able to shed more light on what the new agents would be doing if hired? I have heard of "racino units" but I am not familiar with the specifics of what is involved.

it is 4 years sworn OR a 4 year degree. Of course if you have both you are sitting better than others....

I just went to the FDLE website and as of 8/07/2007 @ 8:53pm eastern time this is the following quals:

II. SPECIAL AGENT QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:

Four years of sworn law enforcement experience; or
A bachelor’s or advanced degree from an accredited college or university with a major in criminology/criminal justice, accounting, finance, computer science or related fields.

as I indicated above..... pretty clear cut ! Read the rest of the quals for other specifics....
