Could you imagine how much money we could save if we did not have to take so many 10-15's to the emergency room. How much is an ER visit? about $1000.00 ?? and we're there how many times county wide in 24 hrs? What do you think about this?

Of course you lose all those savings to one big lawsuit when the first mope kicks the bucket in the back of your unit.

It takes a lot of $1,000 ER visits to equal one multi-million dollar settlement to Johnny Crackhead's family. BSO has done the math and the policy is correct.

I do agree that certain medical staffers are either overzealous or just plain ridiculous. If you've been around for any time at all you know to develop your own screening questions and take any borderlines straight down to main.

Who is getting the kickback for the $1000.00 a visit to the ER??? We all use county Hospitals for these clearances. Jenne was once a lawyer for these hospitals and even on the board of the NBHD (North Broward Hospital District). Maybe his buddies and even himself???? Mr. Fed Attorney are you reading this??? I hope so. And the medical providere for the jails was a political favor for one of Jenne's buddies. Another area for a kickback!!!! Connect the dots......

How about a ward D like Miami Dade County. A lock-up at BGH with correction deputies and a booking desk and beds where medical care can be administered.

Just food for thought.

We've begged for one for many years now. Broward Health wants nothing to do with a ward such as that, in any of their hospitals. That's the truth.
