(813) 989-7110 ASK FOR THE RECRUITING SGT.

There is a reason the department does not post starting pay and benefits on the website and that is because they are loooooow (around 38K) and the pention contribution is HIIIGH!! Almost 12%.

We cannot compete with TPD or HCSO so they try to hide the numbers as much as possible. I'm not sure how much HCSO starts at but it is over 40K and they don't contribute anything to the pension, and the benefits go on for miles. Tampa is similarly generous. I wouldn't apply here unless you've been rejected there first.

hahahha what a moron! you know nothing

Starting TTPD is $39,638 with 11.2 % going toward pension

Starting HCSO is $39,115 with 0% going toward the pension which means they take home about $4,000 MORE

Starting TPD is $44,387, I'm not sure about thier pension but I don't think its as high as ours. They take home almost $5,000 more

If you have experience TPD and HCSO will start you at an even higher pay rate, TTPD does not. And don't even get me started on benefits and overtime. Good luck where ever you go.

FYI, Plant City's pension contribution is currently at 13.75% for 75% at 20 years, it is about to drop roughly 2% for a contribution of around 11%.

TTPD top pay is $62,219 and you get 70% after 20 years = $43,553 a year

TPD top pay is $72,113 and you get 60% after 20 years = $43,267 a year

So after getting paid at least 10% less every year for 20 years and recieving far less in benefits and overtime and everything else, the retirement is about the same. You can throw a hissy fit and throw out insults all you want but the facts don't change.

At 20 yrs with PCPD you make just under $60,000. 75% of $60,000 is $45,000 (of course this doesn't take into consideration you have to average the 5 highest years out of the last 10). This was in response to the post that "no one makes 70% at 20 years". It is not intended to make an argument on your site that PCPD is a better place to be or has better anything. Believe me, we have more than our share of problems.

Actually TPD get 63% after 20 years so its $45,431 a year

06-14-2007, 01:49 AM
and why do you think this matters? you want to say your better? ok you're better, now go do something and be the kind of guy I know you are, a total azzwipe.

I don't see why you spend so much time making sure someone besides yourself feels TTPD is not as good as whatever dumbazz agency is that you work for?

You need to be happy where you are, now go there and do something worthwhile instead of being a fatherless prick that you seem to be.
