Upper Staff Retirement Rumors

There are many rumors flying around about people turning in thier retirement papers this week. Are these rumors true or just that rumors?

Major Larry Rogers-Retiring

John Auer-Applying in St. Lucie County and Sunrise
John Hanlon-Being investigated by FL Bar for violations of Policemens Bill of Rights.

If anyone who reads this can confirm or deny let us know otherwise it is just a rumor with no basis in fact. We want facts!!!!!!!!!!!

Rumor has it that Kenneth David Padowitz is going to be appointed sheriff by Charlie Crist when Ken Jenne is ousted. As the end is near, many of the command staff are jumping ship to save themselves.

The Padowitz for sheriff rumor is just that. A rumor started by Padowitz and friends. his is now about the 25th name that has been mentioned.

As far as comparing his resume to Major Lamberti for qualifications as Sheriff, don't make me laugh. What Al Lamberti forgot about law enforcement Padowitz will never know. Lamberti is by far and overwealmingly the single most qualified individual to take over for Jenne once he is finally ousted. If you doubt that than just ponder the following questions:
Who has more experience at every critical level of BSO after 29 years?
Who has SUCCESSFULLY led more outside municipal agencies under special assignment as Chief?
Who has garnered more respect in multiple communities as a result?
Who has the overwealming support of the BSO troops?
Who has more respect from his LE peers in various Federal, State, County and Municipal LE agencies?
And last but not least, who so absolutely deserving has been passed over so many times for a Col. promotion than Al Lamberti? NO ONE, thats who.
WHY you ask?: Ask Brennan, Carney and Auer who all, at one time or another, all worked UNDER Lamberti at BSO.... who treated these 3 bozos with nothing but respect... who constantly poisoned Jenne on Lamberti at every single turn. The same 3 Jenne lakeys who, along with the Sheriff himself, have brought the agency to its lowest point in history.
So why isn't Al Lamberti a COL. by now? Everyone outside and inside the agency also wonders. Ask these 3 idoits and the duplicitious Ken Jenne who bought into all their lies about Lamberti.
If you really care about your future at BSO and for rthe agency in general, do all that you can, tell averyone that you know, contact the Governor....have some balls... YOU"RE A COP... and tell them all to support Lamberti for Sheriff not some another outsider, lame politico with multiple motives. He still remains the only law enforcement man who can do the job at all levels while having the inside support of the agency...the KEY..., both sworn and civilian. DO IT.

In a nutshell, we all know that Lamberti is the only logical choice to replace Jenne but since we are talking about politics you can bet that Crist will use his power to put in a politician, and most probably a lawyer, just what BSO doesn't need. I've been here long enough to see how Butterworth was replaced by, Brescher, a judge, who did not want to be sheriff. Then Navvaro was elected until he lost to Cochran who died in office and was replaced temporarily by a woman in the agency until Chiles named Jenne to fill the post. Call it politics if you will, but seeing how Broward county is the most political county in the state, the handwriting is on the wall, the next sheriff will be a political favor and not the only common sense choice, LAMBERTI!!!!!

Of course, more promotions and the ever increasing top tier of brass that we don't need. Lame-berti is a fraud that's for sure. I'm sick of him telling us that he has no money to pay us. Why doesn't he down size this place? You have to ask yourself this question: does Lame-berti really have our best interests at heart? I think not.

I never met our new Sheriff but give the man a chance. You can not just change all the BS Jenne created in such a short time. He has started the ball rolling and changes will come. We will get a raise and a contract but that is what negoitions are all about. It takes time. Remember the PBA came out and asked for the lower figure they would except. When you come out playing hard ball, the other team usually does the same. Like it or not the budget was cut prior to his taking office !
