For all of you poker players out there, get ready to shuffle up and deal!
The Tampa Police Department has teamed up with Derby Lane to host a charity fundraising Texas Hold'em Tournament to benefit Special Olympics.
The event will take place on Saturday, June 2nd at the Derby Lane Greyhound Track. Registration is set at $100.00 for all participants and is open to the public as well as law enforcement. This donation will cover entry into the 150 seat poker tournament, a full dinner buffet, and drinks.
Non-playing guests are also welcome to attend. The cost of the dinner buffet and drinks is $30.
This is an opportunity to socialize and have fun for a good cause while testing your skill. You also have the chance to win a lot of money since there will be a prize pool of several thousand dollars up for grabs to the top finishers.
Additionally, there will be celebrity players, to include professional wrestlers and members of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Door prizes will be offered and there will be a silent auction to benefit Special Olympics.
