More officers are killed every year by motor vehicle accidents than by all other means combined.
Below is a link that updates daily of all "In Line of Duty" deaths from around the country. The frequency is staggering.
It is sad to see how many officers die as a result of something that is easy to control. We train every year on High Liability issues and yet the thing we do the most, we do the worst.
I am not saying to not speed when responding to a call BUT slowing down a little just may save your life.
Please think about these officers when responding to your next call.
