Kudos to everyone for the vote on the contract! Hopefully now the Commission will realize that we won't be treated like second class employees. All we ask for is the same fairness that all other City employees get. If you give in once, you'll be their scapegoats forever!

What a show of unity! There is no doubt that those numbers show that we will not be pushed into a crappy deal. It is a real blow to the City to not get even one vote for the contract. They tried to get 51% of the force and failed! It is bad when the new guys won't sign off on it and they were the ones who would have made out the best. Now it is time for the Commission to step up and fix this mess that the Assistant City Manager has created.

News will be out tomorrow, and it will likely read that the commission sold out the PD, including the one candidate whom you backed.

What a shame. City needs to retain quality officers, and the village idiots just don't get it.

They've committed political suicide, and it just makes the CM form of government that much stronger.

No all us citizens hate you - keep up the good work, and get what you deserve.

One person is on that dias because of NPPD. There is no way that can be disputed. That same person stabbed us in the back. Another person on that dias was not at all backed by us. Infact we pushed hard to get someone else elected. She obviously owes us nothing, but she went to bat for us. She put common sence first and refused to be a puppet. It is a real shame. Only one person there dislikes us. The other two villiage idiots can't think without her pulling the strings. Very Sad! Maybe they will get it when we start loosing good people to city's that actually care about there police department.

well with the property tax situation the city will not be able to justify a salary increase never mind a raise. we have nothing to further our cause with. how can you get money from a a city that is going to have to tighten up. all other city and counties are having the same problems.
