This might be getting mixed up with the City of Port St. Lucie. The City announced last week that they MAYBE laying off several Law Enforcemnt positions.

My good friend works at PSLPD and he said around 18 officers maybe laid off. Nothing to do with Martin County, they are safe and sound. PSLPD needed 30 officers this year and only got 8 and now they are talking about lay offs. That county would be great if they did what the fire department did and combine all police agencies into one.
