Question about the jail

Do the jail deputies ever get left alone with an inmate of a different sex? Or even the same sex for that matter? :?:

You may need to be more specific. There are times when you may be transporting an inmate of either sex to a local doctor appointment, court cells, etc. When I worked in the jail generally the men dealt with the men and the women dealt with the women.

Ever get left alone with an inmate of the opposite sex? Yes. Sometimes the situation is un-avoidable. However, solidify your reputation by being fair, firm, and impartial. That way, if there is ever a situation that has you in the control of a different sex inmate, there will be NO reason to make any accusations of your actions.

Secondly, if you are a female, left with the control of a male inmate, I would refuse to allow myself to be put in that situation. Contact your supervisor and tell them to send another person. There is nothing so important that it can't wait for a while to get another person there.

Hey, they are INMATES!!! They have plenty of time to wait! :D
