Is it true that the CCSO will not allow a member who was raped to work in Special Crimes?

This is something I was told by someone who deals with the CCSO. Its just an honest question and No this has nothing to do with Dateline. I just wanted to make sure it was false before I went through any steps to try to get into Special Crimes. This is not a question I would ask anyone in person, hence the reason i asked it on here. :?

I've never heard of such a thing and I've been here over ten years. I have moved from civilian to certified LEO and CO and been all over the agency. I've been the "golden child" and I've had my time in PRB too Although I don't wear a gold badge, I can say that unless you bring it up - noone would know anyway. There is not a chance in the world that any position you wish to pursue can't be had because you were a victim once. Set your goal and be persistant! You will achieve what you want.... Someone with a background like that may be more compassionate, understanding and eager to solve cases than someone with not so many "life experiences".
