Im amazed at how dumb some cops are. If you ever see a gun in someones hand you give one verbal command as you are drawing, aiming your gun at them, and pulling the trigger. If that gun is not dropped in a split second you blast the sucker until you are out of ammo. There is a reason so many cops are getting shot out there. If someone has a gun in their hand when you stop them then they deserve to die. It is as simple as that. No law abiding, sane person will be holding a gun when you stop them.

Wow this could have really gone the wrong way. Glad to see you're ok Trooper. Hopefully the judge will lock the guy away for a long time.

Yeah, I talked to the Trooper involved, and it appears that the news report did not portray the whole incident. Besides, the case is over and Johnson has already plead out. Too bad he only got a mandatory 5 year prison sentence though. What ever happen to: "10-20-life"?

Good to see what our lives our worth these days, $32,000 base pay and 5 years for bad guys who try to take our life, what a joke!. But on a positive note, thank God for the "passenger side approach"!
