I was curious about the road patrol schedule. How does it work? Is it 5 on 2 off, 2 on 5 off ect. Any info appreciated. Thanks

We work Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday..........the next week we work Wednesday and Thursday.....and back to the full week. Our hours are 6 to 6 unless you are an early car.

forhive my ignorance, but I am not following. Could you explain the schedule a little better.

I don't understand either. Is this how it works: Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.[/*:m:elagp8m6]
Week 2: Wednesday & Thursday.

Repeat...

Week 3: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.[/*:m:elagp8m6]

and so on...[/*:m:elagp8m6]Is that it???

Okay, so that's how it works. I have another question: Do you have an overlap shift to prevent people at the end of their shift from having to work OT with those dreaded late calls??? Working beyond 12 hours would make for a loooooong day.

02-11-2007, 09:52 PM
As the deputy stated above there are early cars that handle those overlapping calls.

02-13-2007, 06:56 PM
Do the CCSO guys like 12 hour shifts... or would you prefer going to 8 hour or 10 hour shifts???????

What do you like about 12s????

What do you dislike about 12s?????

Was it a good idea for CCSO to go to 12s????

To answer your question:

Im conused so how many days a week do you work? Oh by the way I want to be a cop. Is CCSO hiring

During the long week, we work 5 days. The short week is only two days. You get every other 3 day weekend off. It comes to about 84 hours each two week pay period. Besides what you see here, it is not as bad to work here as it was when worch was the sheriff.

"Worch for Sheriff 2008"

I agree, lets get Worch in office...

11-25-2007, 12:00 AM
Yeah, just what we need, that poor excuse for a sheriff back. He has absolutely no idea how to be a cop and has no business to be sheriff here again. He sucked before, and he sucked in Pasco, and he still sucks now. Check Pasco and see just how bad he sucked up there. Two differant places with the same ideas about him cant be wrong.

Ditto.

11-26-2007, 03:52 AM
Still alot better than that sucka$$ worch back here.

11-26-2007, 04:11 AM
yeah ok

11-26-2007, 03:29 PM
Hmmm Worch or Cameron??? Our agency is in pretty good shape. I cant imagine going back to the Worch years.

Ill be voting for Cameron.

11-26-2007, 09:46 PM
good 4 you, who cares, waste your vote. LIBBY, CARO etc. thats really the way we want it right.... LOL

11-30-2007, 06:14 PM
If Worch gets in, he will bring in a few of the old timers back who have some ax's to grind, then again if Cameron get in, it will be Libby at #2 and we all will have cameras in the patrol units watching us and him trying to screw the deputies over at at drop of a hat! Cameron is right on as a leader, but his choice for second in command if Libby, will have a lot to be desired :( I just hope he picks someone a lot better and more proactive and progressive then a Caro wanabe or Libby.

12-01-2007, 03:38 AM
I dont think he will have libby as a #2, I just dont see it. Caro needs to go also, he still has that old mentality from when worch was here of not making any waves, instead of letting the road patrol go out and do their jobs. The types of crimes we are having now are nothing like the ones we had when he was here, and the not making any waves approach is so damn dangerous for us. someone is going to get hurt or worse if this does not change. People are second guessing way too much and this will get someone killed. There are some pretty decent people out there, but everyone is too busy worrying about what caro or libby will do if things dont go right on a call. It has got to change, like yesterday.

12-03-2007, 05:08 AM
whos worch

who is worch ??

12-20-2007, 02:04 PM
no, no and double no! No Thank You!!!

Libby could not manage 54 people at PGPD. Imagine at CCSO. OUCH

12-22-2007, 04:20 AM
libby is better than caro by a long shot. libby has done nothing to hurt anyone here.
