For starters, the Escambia County Sheriff's Office Message Board will remain up and operational. There will, however, be some changes that will take effect immediately.
The quality of content has declined as have the number of postings. LEOAFFAIRS.COM(tm) has spent many man hours deleting inappropriate content and banning abusive users. This has detracted from the purpose of our website and made it harder for our Moderator to do his job.
We feel the best recourse is to start off new with Staff Moderators on this site and to solicit your input on who our new Moderators will be. Please read the Annoucement post at the top of this Forum for information on how to apply. I spoke with Mod 159 earlier tonight and he agreed that, right or wrong, this move was probably the best for the site.
In closing, I wish to thank Mod 159 for moderating our site since its inception. If anyone wishes to report a violation of our Terms of Use, please send an email to sysop@leoaffairs.com or mod1@leoaffairs.com for now. There is no need to come on this Board and point out violations or publicly announce to everyone that you have been talking to Sysop about problems on this Board. EVERYONE will be treated equally and can go through the same process in reporting violations.
